Ex- Physician Faces Assault Charges Against 38 Patients
Legal authorities report that a ex- physician has been charged with performing sexual assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were patients.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of acts of sexual assault – including some against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
One senior prosecutor said, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Investigation
These allegations follow what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
