Leeds United carried out a textbook game plan of stifling and containing Liverpool, with the maiden scoreless draw of Arne Slot's tenure highlighting the lingering issues within the reigning champions' latest upturn.

Resolute Masterclass Secures Crucial Point

A drab goalless stalemate, the first in 84 fixtures for Liverpool, was largely attributable to the defensive solidity of the excellent centre-back pairing Struijk and Bijol, combined with the home side's failure to unlock a well-drilled Leeds defence.
