Renowned Performer Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Recognized For Roles in Seinfeld and The Middle, Dies at the Age of Sixty.
US entertainer Finn, who featured in popular TV shows such as "Friends", Seinfeld and "The Middle", has succumbed at the age of 60.
The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in Los Angeles, California recently after undergoing treatment for a cancer diagnosis since 2022, per media reports.
"Pat Finn saw everyone as a friend - only friends he didn't know yet," his relatives stated in a statement.
They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with happiness and energy".
An Extensive Television Career
His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the titular character's brother.
He was also seen in a repeating character on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.
He starred as Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in the late 90s, depicting a host known to delegate burdensome jobs to his guests.
During the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on a variety of well-known programs, like:

- Friends
- That '70s Show
- "House"
Finn was perhaps best known for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in "The Middle", featuring across eight seasons over nearly a decade.
His film credits are "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
A Life in Improv
Away from his acting parts, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was a professor.
He was a member of a six-person improv troupe called Beer Shark Mice.
"Pat taught, supported, and inspired many learners during his career and it would be difficult to find anyone anywhere who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Offering condolences, colleague and actor Richard Kind said there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, making those around him better and funnier. A wonderful father and man," he shared online.
Pat Finn is remembered by his wife Donna, his children, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
