Additionally, a flourishing trade exists on Telegram, where groups with numerous of participants share “before and after” images, administration instructions and assertions of rapid British shipping. Sellers promote the drug there before redirecting customers to other platforms for purchases.

Retatrutide is an investigational injectable created by US drugmaker Eli Lilly. The drug targets three intestinal hormones – GLP-1, GIP and glucagon. Research also found groups with up to nine thousand members selling the experimental drug using Telegram's integrated search feature, which functions like a online catalog. Typing “retatrutide” immediately brings up groups with thousands of users, filled with images of slimming results, positive testimonials and detailed instructions for preparing or injecting at home.

After minutes of joining one group, a seller shared contact information, where the majority of purchases occur. The vendor sent an instruction manual and promised delivery within two days. When asked whether the product was genuine, one seller responded: “You can’t be sure.” Another provided a image of a supposed laboratory certificate. Not one asked about weight, health issues or previous experience.

Within these groups, messages display dark colored parcels with Royal Mail stickers, claiming to include fresh supplies. One message stated: “It took eight of us to load them this morning.”
