The most recent action-packed game that gamers experienced was Far Cry 6, that showcased Giancarlo Esposito in the role of the bad guy, Antón, and was released back in October 6, 2021. It’s no surprise that FX's recent announcement for a Far Cry limited-run show attracted two visionaries whose creations have embodied all of those things.

What to Expect

Adapted from Ubisoft's successful video game property, the short-run anthology series is set to premiere on Hulu and be produced by FX Productions. The series will also follow the video games' structure by having a different setting and cast of characters in subsequent series.

Executive Team

Rob Mac, creator of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the mind behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will serve as executive producers on the series under their production banners, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be partnered by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television.

We’ve shared outstanding relationships with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a collective six series and 32 seasons of television, and we couldn’t be more excited that they are teaming up for Far Cry,” said Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a announcement. “I have no doubt that they will deliver this story in a way that is fresh, gripping, and extremely entertaining. We also want to thank our collaborators at Ubisoft for entrusting us with this cherished property.”

What’s Next

Mac will also star in the show, but currently, we have no details on what role that could be. Hawley's Alien: Earth was just greenlit for more episodes, with FX and Disney finalizing a new long-term contract with the producer.
