The United Kingdom is set to progress with employing the full worth of frozen Russia's funds to bolster the Ukrainian war effort, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has stated.

UK penalties have frozen more than £25bn of Russian funds since Moscow launched its comprehensive attack against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. However, up to this point, resources provided to the Ukrainian government using Russia's holdings had solely been taken from earnings and returns earned on them.

Sir Keir assured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the UK, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were united in their desire to drive progress toward employing the total worth of the seized Moscow's national holdings to end the war.

He noted that more restrictions in the coming days and weeks would increase the strain on Russia.

This declaration comes after European Union leaders convened in Copenhagen recently to debate utilizing frozen Russian funds for a €140bn financial aid to the Ukrainian nation.

Recently, American leader Donald Trump urged international partners to take or utilize frozen Russia's holdings, as reported by news outlets.

The value of frozen Russian holdings in the Europe is estimated to be almost €211bn.

Leader Zelensky urges Britain's Sir Keir Starmer to participate in the weapons procurement program

The Russian government carried out widespread aerial attacks all over Ukraine on Friday, leading to power cuts in many areas of the capital city, Kyiv, and eight other regions.

A pair of individuals were killed and at least 20 people were wounded in the strike, authorities in Ukraine reported.

In a update on social media following the incident, Zelensky wrote that the strategic strike aimed at public and utility structures.

"What's needed is not mere statements but decisive action - from the US, the European Union, and the Group of Seven - in supplying air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," he stated.

"All penalty impositions diminishes Moscow's military apparatus," Zelensky declared, in a different message.

Additionally that day, Zelensky told media outlets he would press Sir Keir to participate in the Purl scheme, under which Nato countries buy weapons from the America to provide to the Ukrainian forces.

While applauding the UK's consistent assistance for the Ukrainian government, he noted it should send a clear signal that it would participate in the system, as well as enforce more measures on the Russian Federation.
