Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in an LA Vehicle Accident
The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in California aged 55.
His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The renowned game designer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a freeway in LA on Sunday, according to.
"This is an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
